At Royal Oak Orthodontic Care, we know choosing the right orthodontist is important. That’s why we offer free consultations. We want you to feel confident before committing to treatment. When you meet with our expert team, you will get to know us better, identify the right solution for your orthodontic needs, and determine the costs and your payment options. We’ll use advanced technology to plan your treatment and even show you what your results will look like.
If you have a young child, we suggest bringing them to see our orthodontists by age 7 or so. We’ll evaluate their smile and recommend preventive treatment if appropriate. Using appliances at an early age can often lessen the need for future treatment.

You should expect your first orthodontic appointment to take about an hour or so, depending on your situation. You’ll meet with your dentist and our team, who will discuss your case with you and help you decide on a treatment option that works for your situation and budget.
At your first orthodontic appointment, we will thoroughly examine your teeth and take a set of X-rays to look at the underlying roots and bones. We’ll then go over the specifics of your case, detailing treatment options and the investment required for your new smile. We’ll also answer any questions you have, so you can make the decision that’s best for you.
Before your first orthodontic appointment, we encourage you to write down any questions you have about orthodontic treatment. At this first appointment, you’ll have the opportunity to get all your questions answered and to gather any details you need to decide on your treatment. Also, take some time beforehand to think about what your smile goals are, and write those down.
